How to Play:
Chess is a board game for two players. During the game
the two opponents take turns to move one of their pieces
to a different square of the board.
The Pieces:
Pawns – move one square forwards. Have the option of
moving one or two squares on their first move. Capture
by moving one square diagonally forwards. Promoted to
another piece if they reach the far end of the board.
Knights – move in an L-shape – one square vertically and
two squares horizontally, or one square horizontally and
two squares vertically. Can jump over any pieces in its
path.
Bishops – move any number of squares diagonally in a
straight line. May not jump over other pieces.
Rooks – move any number of squares vertically or
horizontally in a straight line. May not jump over other
pieces.
The Queen – moves any number of squares vertically,
horizontally, or diagonally in a straight line. May not jump
over other pieces.
The King – moves one square in any direction. May not
move onto a square threatened by an enemy piece.
Check and Checkmate:
Check – if the king is threatened by an enemy piece, he is
in ‘check’, and must escape from check. This can be done
by moving the king, capturing the checking piece, or
blocking the checking piece (so long as it isn’t a knight).
Checkmate – if the king is in check and can’t get out of
check, he is in checkmate and the game is lost.

Whatsapp and email only.
Whatsapp us with your selection of games as well as the date of your event.
We will confirm the availability of your selection of games on your chosen event date and send you an invoice with our banking details.
Please read through the terms and conditions.
Pay 50% deposit to confirm booking.
Or pay full amount for 5% discount on entire booking.
The outstanding amount to be paid one week prior to collection date.
Once the deposit or full payment is received as well as proof of payment, the booking will be scheduled.

Games must be collected at GRLG premises one day prior to event and returned one day after the event or as per arrangement with GRLG.
By accepting the invoice and booking the games you agree to the terms and conditions of GRLG.
All games are played at your own risk.
Breakage
Please take note: We require an R300 cash breakage deposit fee on the date of pickup.
This fee will be refunded on the day of drop off if all the games are returned in complete and satisfactory condition, if not additional cost will be charged. *See terms and conditions.
Cancellation policy
Deposits and payments for booking confirmations are non-refundable.
If the event is canceled for any reason, we will re-schedule the booking for a future date and time that suits the client as well as BLG.
Please inform BLG at least 48 hours in advance of a postponed event.
Deliveries
Unfortunately, we do not deliver the hired equipment. You collect the equipment from our premises at least one day before the event and it must be returned one day after the event as per arrangement between BLG and the client.
Additional hire days are available at a fee.
